(Jan. 27) – Rep. Leroy Garcia’s bill clarifying that it’s OK to fire blank rounds at military funerals won unanimous House approval today.

“Many localities have disorderly conduct ordinances prohibiting the firing of firearms except by law enforcement and people defending themselves,” said Rep. Garcia (D-Pueblo). “I want to make it absolutely clear that the law doesn’t infringe on military funerals.”

HB14-1059 heads to the Senate on a 65-0 vote by the House.
