(June 18) – Rep. Diane Mitsch Bush, D-Steamboat Springs, has been recognized by the Colorado Livestock Association for her support of agriculture.
“In the legislature there are statesmen and there are politicians,” said Steve Holdren, a lobbyist for the association who presented a plaque to Rep. Mitsch Bush on Wednesday at the group’s annual meeting in Steamboat Springs. “Rep. Mitsch Bush is a true statesman. She looks to Colorado’s future, not just her next election. She always does her homework and asks tough questions in committee.”
“I am so honored to be recognized for my support of agriculture,” Rep. Mitsch Bush said. “I am proud to represent two rural, Western Slope headwaters counties where agriculture is integral to our economy, our heritage and our future.”
Rep. Mitsch Bush’s House District 26 includes Eagle County and Routt County. She is vice chairwoman of the House Transportation Committee and serves on the House Agriculture Committee, the House Health, Insurance & Environment Committee and the interim Water Resources Review Committee.
