(Nov. 17) – Rep. Dianne Primavera, D-Broomfield, has received the Legislator of the Year award from the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of the Rockies.

“Throughout my legislative career I have been a supporter of hospices and have tried to increase awareness of the critical services they provide for Colorado families,” said Rep. Primavera, who is chairwoman of the Public Health & Human Services Committee.

It was the second year in a row that Rep. Primavera has been honored by the association, which works to increase access to palliative and hospice services and to promote quality standards of care so Coloradans may live well at the end of life or in serious illness, and so none will suffer needlessly.

The award was presented Nov. 12 at the group’s meeting at the Sheraton Denver Tech Center.
