Rep. Jeff Bridges
Rep. Jeff Bridges represents House District 3 in Sheridan, Englewood, Cherry Hills Village and Greenwood Village. He serves on the House Education and Transportation & Energy Committees.
During the 2017 session, Rep. Bridges sponsored bills to create an advisory board to provide support materials to schools when dealing with traumatic experiences, to expand the pool of trained child care workers to make child care services more accessible and to require state-supported colleges and universities to update and publish policies on sexual assault, dating violence, hate crimes and other such issues. He also sponsored several bills to provide more transparency in political campaign funding and advertising.
Rep. Bridges served on the board of the Colorado Conservation Voters, helping to elect a bipartisan, pro-conservation legislative majority that increased Colorado’s renewable energy standard. Previously, he was a policy aide to U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar and worked on John Salazar’s successful bid for Congress in 2004.
Before coming back home to Colorado, Rep. Bridges was associate vice president at Union Theological Seminary in New York and earned a master’s of divinity degree from Harvard. His bachelor’s degree is from Kenyon College in Ohio.
Rep. Bridges attended the Littleton public schools and graduated from Arapahoe High School. He lives in Greenwood Village with his wife, AnnMarie.
