(Nov. 29) – The Executive Committee of the Legislative Council will meet Dec. 15 to consider changes to the legislature’s workplace harassment policies, it was announced today.
“I’m glad we are moving forward with this discussion to improve our workplace harassment policies,” said Speaker Crisanta Duran, who has proposed a variety of changes, beginning with a third-party review. “It’s important that we hire an outside expert to review our processes and make recommendations about what works, what needs to be changed and the training and tools needed to create a workplace in which everyone feels safe.”
The Legislative Council Executive Committee’s Dec. 15 meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. in Room 352 in the state Capitol. The Executive Committee includes Senate President Kevin Grantham, Speaker Duran, Senate Majority Leader Chris Holbert, House Majority Leader KC Becker, Senate Minority Leader Lucia Guzman and House Minority Leader Patrick Neville.
