Duran Reacts to Judge’s Decision In Denver Voter Access Case

October 7, 2011

(Denver) – Rep. Crisanta Duran (D-Denver) issued the following statement after a Denver judge refused to issue a preliminary injunction against the Denver Clerk and Recorder which would have prohibited her office from sending ballots to inactive voters:

“This is a win for the 54,000-plus legally registered voters of Denver who would have been discouraged from voting by Secretary Gessler’s demand.  I’m thrilled that all those folks will have the opportunity to participate in Colorado’s upcoming election, and that people won out over political maneuvering.”
