(Denver) – State Rep. Sal Pace (D-Pueblo), the leader of the Democrats in the state House of Representatives, released the following statement today after Gov. John Hickenlooper unveiled his 2012 budget proposal:
“I believe the governor has presented a budget that is balanced in its cuts and preserves needed programs for our citizens, like the CIRCLE program here in Pueblo. I’m glad he was able to offer a budget that avoided closures that affect jobs in our community. I look forward to working with the governor and my fellow legislators on a budget that reflects the values we hold to here in Colorado.”
CIRCLE is a substance abuse and mental illness treatment program at the state mental health institute in Pueblo.
