House Passes Young’s Medicaid Reform Bill

(Feb. 25) – The House gave preliminary approval today to a bill by Rep. Dave Young (D-Greeley) to reduce fraud and improve service by Medicaid providers.

HB 13-1068 allows unannounced, unscheduled inspections of Medicaid providers, increasing oversight, reducing the potential for fraud and conforming with federal law.

“We’re trying to make sure our tax dollars are spent properly and our Medicaid patients get the care they’re supposed to get,” Rep. Young said.
