I am honored to represent Colorado's House District 28. I serve as the Vice-Chair of the House Judiciary Committee and a Member of the Appropriations Committee. I am also Treasurer for the Colorado Latino Caucus, a Uniform Law Commissioner (representing Colorado at the national level), and Chair of the Law and Criminal Justice Task Force of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators. You can learn more about the legislation I have sponsored here. Before I was elected to the Colorado House, I worked as an attorney representing immigrants and helping survivors of domestic violence rebuild their lives. I’ve protected consumers, advocated for criminal justice reform, and prosecuted discrimination and civil rights cases. I also served as an Assistant Attorney General representing state agencies here in Colorado that keep the public safe.
