Jennifer Bacon
Assistant Majority Leader
Jennifer Bacon represents House District 7 in Denver’s far northeast. She sits on the Judicial and the State, Veterans, & Military Affairs Committees.
Representative Bacon’s policy priorities are education, social justice and a thriving middle class. Following her election in November 2020, she looks forward to serving her community and advancing these issues.
As an educator, school administrator, lawyer, and community organizer, Jennifer has committed her career to advancing opportunities through education. From a young age, Jennifer’s family instilled in her the belief that education is freedom, and set her on a path to earn a JD from the College of William & Mary, a Master’s in Education from Florida International University, and Bachelor’s in Business Management from Tulane University.
In Denver, Jennifer commits her professional career and her personal time to advancing education. Whether through her service as the board chair of the parent organizing group Padres y Jóvenes Unidos, her facilitation “Know Your Rights” trainings for students, or in her job at One School at a Time where she supports educational programs in uganda, Jennifer lives out her belief that the best decisions are those made by those most impacted.
Jennifer is a proud homeowner in the Montbello neighborhood. She enjoys being out and about in the Denver community and running into former students and parents at the grocery store.
